Xenoheld had been in the Land of Dragons for some time now. He had lost track of how many days it had been since he had arrived there. He had been there to try and convince the emperor there to help in the battle against the heartless and the new enemies believed to come. Xenoheld was now a member of the army against the heartless. It took a few years but he finally got the emperor to allow him access to the army for fighting the heartless.
Xenoheld now sat outside a window in one of the rooms of the temple. He sighed greatly, forgetting what it was like to travel to different worlds.

Gwendolyn was looking for a man. A man she had heard reports about from people in different worlds. They claimed he was weilded a keyblade, just as she did. This was a surprise to Gwen. It was the first she had heard of any Keybearers since Sora's time. Not that anyone knew where even he was at the moment. She felt the need to meet him face to face. She wanted to see him with her very eyes, for proof. It was her own pride which urged her on to do this. If the reports were true, she would definitely ask him to join her. Odds are, if he was a good person, and his cause was much like her own, then he would join The Keybladers, a group she had formed. She was the only member, and it's leader. Gwen couldn't help but feel excited.
Finally having tracked the man down all the way to the Land of Dragons, Gwen revealed her identity to the Emperor so that he would give her access to his army. He did so willingly, honored to be graced by Yen Sid's very own grand daughter. She blushed at this, and even felt a little guilty. She didn't want anyone knowing who she was, but she didn't want to be dishonorable and sneak around to get to who she was looking for. Gwen asked the Emperor for secrecy, and she was glad to find that he understood her feelings and accepted keeping who she was a secret. And to not give her special treatment other than just this once. Gwen asked if he knew the man. The Emperor said yes and pointed her towards where she could find him. Bowing to him in thanks and respect, she went towards that place.
Gwen walked through the halls of the mighty Temple. It was awe inspiring and glorifying. Whoever designed the Temple must have been a genius. It's fortifications were also sound. She was impressed by what she saw. Arriving at a particular room, Gwendolyn knocked on the door. Once. Twice. Three times. She wore a traditional Chinese dress with her hair up in a bun decorated with what appeared to be a pair of chopsticks. The pits of her stomach twisted in anticipation as she waited. She was eager to meet Xenoheld.

A guest? Xenoheld thought to himself. It wasn't a normal thing for him to get company, especially on a day like today. He looked out in the distance of the clouds and saw that something ominous was coming. It was far back and he was sure the emperor already knew about this. He got up from the spot by the window and walked by his bed. He picked up his traditional jacket and placed it on. It was black in color and laced with white threads. He walked to the door and pulled it back, noticing it was a beautiful woman.
"Welcome Mi-lady" He said to her, bowing. "What brings you here?" He knew something was off about her. He could feel a power coming from her very being, almost similar to his own.

Her pink lips spread in a joyous smile. Her cheeks turned rosy from the excitement. It was clear that she was very happy to see him. He was wearing a traditional Chinese outfit as well. Behind that happiness, she felt the darkness gathering. She was sure that there would be a heartless attack too. She could feel the magic coursing through her, urging the keyblade to her hands, just as it always appeared whenever there were heartless near, but she held it back so that she didn't startled Xenoheld. Her face softened into a more serious face but she still had a small smile on her face.
"Hello, Xenoheld," she said, her voice smooth and gentle as the breeze, "My name is Gwendolyn. I've been looking for you for a while now. I hear tale you're a keyblade warrior....."
She could feel it now that she was close to him. Now that she was there, she could believe it. Gwen was glad to finally meet someone like her.

She knows about that? Xenoheld thought to himself. He closed the door behind him, letting her into the room so that nobody could else could hear the conversation about to take place between the two people.
"Now that I know that you know that" He said to her. "I must know that you indeed are a keyblade weilder, and that is why i felt the light coming off of your body" He leaned against the wall. "And I can also tell you're itching to go fight the heartless that are more than likely to come here" He said. "I am as well, and now that I have the emperors say so, we have the Land of Dragons along in this battle as well"

"That's good news," She said in response to having the Emperor's army, "and, yes, I, too, wield the keyblade, just as you do. I do apologize for the intrusion. It is finally good to meet you, Xenoheld. I was unsure if there were any more of us out there."
Gwendolyn paced the room for a moment as she was allowed to enter. She listened to his words carefully. There was a clear look of worry on her face as he mentioned the heartless. How could there be such a large amount of heartless? It was not possible for this to happen unless.... Her face was apologetic as she turned to look at Xenoheld and smiled gently.
"I wish we had time to get well acquainted with one another before the attack, but unfortunately, we don't. There must be powerful source of darkness leading them here, and it could only be in the Temple itself, or perhaps there was a new force of darkness leading them to attack the Land of Dragons. But why? What is their goal? What do they want from this place, or from any place for that matter? There must be a reason for this heartless uprising, this swell of darkness that has gathered and was about to burst and return with a bigger vengeance than ever before."
Gwen turned away from him to look out the window. The clouds were darkening more and more and lightning crackled in the distance. Her eyes grew far away as she thought about asking him to join her group. It was more of a relief to find someone like herself, but it appeared that he was also fighting for a good cause. Whether that cause was personal like Gwen's or just because it was the right thing to do, she wanted him with her.
"Xenoheld... will you join The Keybladers on our quest for justice and to rid the world of darkness and its imposing threat to the universe? Unfortunately, I am it's only member and leader, but I can't do this alone," she turned back around to face him once more with a smile on her face, "I'm no one man army."

Xenoheld let out a low sigh. "Finally another one like me" He said to her. "I always thought I was the only one able to wield one" He then crossed his arms again and watched her as she paced teh room. He could tell she was troubled by the mention of the heartless army that was heading towards them. He felt bad when she had the apologetic look on her face.
"If you're talking about their goal, I think I know what that would be" He said to her. He reached into his pocket and pulled out a scroll. "This scroll, is what is needed to unlock the keyhole to this world, if they get it they'll have more heartless roaming this world, more than just that dark cloud in the distance" He put it back into his pocket and looked back up to her. "They are also after us keybladers, to stop us from stopping them with their plans and whatnot" He said to her.
He kept his calm as she went to the window and looked out of it. He knew the clouds had gotten closer, but they weren't supposed to get this close to the temple. He heard the crackle of lightning and jumped around to the window next to her. He turned to face her when she asked him to join her party.
"I accept your offer, Gwen" He said to her softly. "Now then, shall we go and fight off the heartless?" He asked. He didn't wait for an answer and quickly changed into his normal traveling outfit and jumped out the window. He landed on top of buildings under the temple and waved to her from the ground.
"You coming?" He called out to her. He extended his right hand and his key blade, with the land of dragons key chain, formed in it. He grabbed hold of it and waited for her to come down.

Gwen watched Xenoheld as he gave a brief explanation of the situation. Of course she already knew the basics, just as he said them. Those things were a given. There was a reason far greater than what he said. There always was, out of the history lessons her grandfather taught her. No one ever did learn from history and it had a bad habit of repeating itself, except worse each time.
"Yes, I do know all of that. But, no," she said,"I'm sorry, but there has to be more to it than that. The heartless can't think for themselves. They are thoughtless, callous creatures who only act on instinct. They must be lead by someone...."
When Xenoheld pulled out the scroll, Gwen's eyes bulged open as she gasped in surprise. Of course she already knew about the scroll, but the fact that he had it was bad. Not only that, he was actually planning on fighting the heartless with it on him. What was he thinking!? Before she could say anything, he interrupted with accepting her offer and jumping out the window.
"H-hey!"
She ran forward and stood at the window, looking down at him. She saw him extend his arm out to her and told her to come. Her eyebrows furrowed in slight irritation but she jumped out the window after him. She landed behind the spot where he stood on top of the buildings. She stood tall and upright, although he was a full grown man and was taller than her.
"Wait. You're actually planning on fighting the heartless with that on you? I don't think that's very wise. What if they get to you? What if they take you out? They'll have full access to that scroll if they do. It needs to be in a safe place, like, oh, I don't know, with the Emperor."
The Emperor was heavily protected by his entire army. He would be the safest person in this world. If anything, the scroll needed to be with him.

Xenoheld looked at the girl closely. "You think i'm dumb enough to take the scroll with me to the battle field?" He asked her. He pulled out the scroll and undid it. Written on it was 'Fake Scroll'
"This is a sort of decoy of some sorts, to try and get them out of this world, the heartless are stupid so they won't understand if its real or fake"

Gwen blinked. Yes, she was most definitely irritated. Why didn't he just tell her that in the first place instead of pretending it was the real scroll? Gwen wasn't sure how well that distraction would bode. The heartless might be mindless, but they could sense things well enough. Would they be able to tell that it was fake? Xenoheld was clearly underestimating the creatures, and that was a huge mistake.
She sighed, relaxing a bit. She didn't want to have an argument with a man she had just met, especially when the heartless were getting closer and closer. Her face softened and she closed her eyes. Her eyebrows were still slightly furrowed, but she smiled anyway.
"Alright," she said, nodding as she opened her eyes with a glint of determination in them, "Good thinking, Xenoheld. Though I wish you would have told me this before. If we're going to be a team, we're going to have to work together. Let's go."
Gwen stepped forward and ran ahead of Xenoheld. She jumped the gaps of the rooftops and headed towards the Royal city's front gates where the army was already assembling. The people outside of the gates of the temple were hoarded inside its fortified walls in a mass evacuation.

I'll have to apologize to her shortly. He thought to himself. He jumped off the buildings, keeping watch of the clouds as they zoomed in. He noticed the people of the city were all safe, meaning the battle would be able to go on without casualties, so he thought. He jumped over and landed near Gwen and looked at her.
"I apologize for that" He said. He felt bad after what had just happened. "Hopefully it'll stall them long enough, the heartless are mindless, but they can figure out something if it is drawn out for to long"
He griped his keyblade tighter as he looked back at her, apologetically.

A man called for the gates to be opened and with a groan, the big, intricately decorated doors, groaned opened. Gwen kept her eyes on the clouds which became more fearsome as they got closer. She could see the hordes of heartless making their way towards the gates. She still couldn't get it out of her head, so many questions. But she knew that as long as there was darkness in the world, there would always be somebody there to lead the darkness to do no good. Yet as long as there was this darkness, the light would always be there to relinquish it. Gwen felt Xenoheld land next to her and smiled when he apologized. There was a twinkle of amusement in her dazzling blue eyes.
"Apology accepted" She said, nonchalantly, as if the matter hadn't really mattered in the first place. Gwen might be a stubborn girl but she forgave easily when the apology game. "That was well said. Heartless are strange creatures. We must destroy them as fast as possible. We wouldn't want to risk any civilian casualties if they enter the Temple. Or more specifically, the scroll."
A bright light enclosed the female keyblader as her keyblade, Genesis, appeared in her hand. She gave Xenoheld a final smile before staring up the heartless that were getting closer and closer. Her heart accelerated in excitement and anticipation. She held the keyblade in a tight grip. Hopefully, she would make it to see another day.

Will this battle go smoothly? He thought to himself. He ran next to Gwen towards the clouds of heartless that were heading towards the temple. The two were finally on the outskirts of town, the clouds weren't as close as they thought. Lightning struck down on the ground in front of them. A group of heartless appeared. About 5 shadows, 4 knights, and 5 of the other heartless native to Land of Dragons.
Xenoheld slid to a quick stop, hitting one of the shadows not intentionally. "Crap" He said under his breath. "That's a tad much isn't it?"

Gwen ran next to Xenoheld forward and out the outskirts of town, a long with several soldiers from the Emperor's army. They were really strange looking. One was lanky, another short and muscular, and the one who stood out the most was a great big fat man. The handsomest one of them all was the General himself, Shang. Next to him stood a woman she recognized to be Mulan. Gwen nodded to them with a smile and they nodded back.
"Soldiers," exclaimed Shang as the heartless appeared, "Get ready!"
"Don't worry," said Gwen to Xenoheld, "we can take them. I'll cover your back if you cover mine," she teased.
Gwen ran forward and slashed her keyblade down at one little shadow, which took him out immediately. She crisscrossed her blade at a second Shadow and it dispersed into darkness.
"Come on!"

Xenoheld chuckled lightly as he listend to Shang, then to Gwen. "I guess I could use the ability i'm trying to perfect, maybe later" He thought to himself. He hung onto the keyblade, jumping from left to right, attacking the heartless coming at him from the front and the ones coming towards Gwen.
"This seems a tad bit to easy, don't you think?" He asked Gwen and Shang. The battle was going smoother than it should have been, the heartless weren't exactly weak, but they werren't putting up a fight.
