~Kingdom Hearts R E V I V A L~ Role-play Rules
CHARACTER REGISTRY Creating a character is an exciting, but long, part of any role playing experience. When creating your character, keep in mind that this specific RP is located in the Kingdom Hearts setting, so a lot is permitted. To create a character, visit the Character Registry board and check out the Character Template. Copy the code of the template, open a new topic in the Character Registry, paste the template into the new topic, and fill the template out! This is the first step of Character Creation. You are on your way! When filling out your template, do not insert anything in the Technique, Party, or Equipment section. We will talk about those things later. Kingdom Hearts Revival is a non-canon RP. This means that only original characters are allowed to be created by players. Don't worry though, Kingdom Hearts Characters might be featured in Plots and Events, but you won't get to play them. Also, to make things fair, only one character is allowed per account (however, you may have multiple accounts.) Once your character is accepted, you may not change major things in the character's profile. Techniques, equipment, stats, class must stay the same. The rest you may change, as long as they are not major changes. A requirement for a character is to have at least one way of traveling through worlds. This could be a technique, such as teleportation or a portal, or an equipment, such as a gummy ship or a Keyblade Glider. Once you are done with the template, then you will have to wait for two approvals from Staff members. Before approving your character, the staff will ask you to make corrections if needed. Please do what the staff tells you to do, and don't be rude to them. Once your character is accepted, then you are ready to role play with them. However, your character is still undeveloped. This is where Techniques and Equipments come into play. Read on to learn more about them.

TECHNIQUE REGISTRY To create a technique, you will have to use the code found in the Technique Registry and copy the Technique Template code. You may create more than one technique in the same topic. Once your techniques have been accepted, you may add more techniques to the same topic. Creating Techniques requires creativity and balance. Balance is a big part in Technique Creation. Balance must be there because it helps making fights fair. Staff will help you balance your techniques out before accepting them. To ensure some balance, we have some basic techniques pre-made for you. So, before you start creating techniques, check if the technique you want has already been posted here. Once your techniques are accepted, you are allowed to post them in your character's profile. A character can have a maximum of 12 Techniques. There is no requirement for techniques, so if you don't want to have any then go right ahead. IMPORTANT: Summons are treated as Techniques! So if you want a summon, you will have to create a technique for that summon. IMPORTANT: You may add form changes as techniques. To do this add "Drive Form:" before stating the name of the technique. Also form changes are allowed to have a different element than the user's. Form changes my also use a pre-made technique (such as thunder, fire etc.) that your character does not have. Only one technique allowed. You may also have another weapon spawn during the duration of the technique. When first starting, your character may only use C Rank Techniques. To unlock Rank B and A techniques, the player must complete Jobs. Once 5 Jobs have been completed, a character may use Rank B techniques. Once an additional 5 Techniques have been completed, a character may use Rank A Techniques. The elements of your techniques must match your character's elements. However, your character's class may change this rule around. There are three general classes, which are Fighter, Mage and Rogue. Custom classes (such as pirate, dancer, etc.) will most likely fit into one of these three categories. These three categories have different bonuses added to them. It would be nice if you specified the category in your character sheet.Fighter: May have up to four weapons. May only control one element. May wear armor. Mage: May have up to four elements. May only have two weapons. May wear armor. Rogue: May have up to three weapons. May control two elements. Cannot wear armor.

EQUIPMENT REGISTRY To create equipment for your character, visit the Equipment Registry and copy the code of the Equipment Template. Once copied, create a new topic, paste the template code, fill it out and wait for staff approval. You may post multiple equipments in one topic, and once those are accepted, you may create more in the same topic. Equipment is not required, so if you don't want any weapons, armor, accessories, vehicles, items, then just skip this step. However, you may not create more than five equipments. An equipment is anything that your character will carry around during the RP. There are different types of equipments. The basics are weapons, armor, vehicle, accessory, and item. There are some limits on the type of equipments a character may carry. There is a limit of two weapons and a limit of one vehicle. The equipment your character may change according to his or her class.

PARTY REGISTRY To create a party for you and your friends, visit the Party Registry and copy the code of the Party Template. Once copied, create a new topic, paste the template code, fill it out and wait for staff approval. When creating the party, make sure to put a [PO] or [PC] in the topic's name. Thich tells people if it is an open or closed party. In open parties, members may join by asking the party leader's permission to. The party leader must post in the party topic that the party is closed. Once the party closes, the staff will evaluate the party, make corrections and then accept it. A party must have no more than four people in it. A party may take on Jobs that require a party. When in a party, the party leader is the one that fills jobs requests for the entire party. Party Jobs are harder than normal jobs and will require multiple players to accomplish them. If you are wondering what jobs are, just read on...

TRAVELING AND JOB REQUESTS Once your character is complete, he or she will be able to travel through the many distant worlds of Kingdom Hearts. To do this, that character must have a way to travel through the galaxy. This could be a technique, such as teleportation or a portal, or an equipment, such as a gummy ship or a Keyblade Glider. You can create the vehicle, as long as it makes sense. During travels a player may fight other characters, interact with them or just have an adventure alone. To do this just open a topic in the world where your RP topic is going to be situated in. The RP topic can be anything you wanted to be. Job Requests make traveling between the worlds much funner. Jobs are given to players by the staff. To get a job go to Job Requests and copy the code of the Job Request Template. Make a new topic, paste the code and fill out the template. Once the staff notices your request, they will give you a job. You can only request for one job at a time. Once the job is completed, you may request for a new one in the same topic you requested the first one. You may also request for a job to get done. For this option, follow the second template in the Job Request Template. Once you post the job, you will await for the approval of two staff members. Once the job has been approved it is open for members to apply for it. To complete a job you must open a topic in the world given to you by the job. Post the job under spoilers, and then RP your character completing that job. Simple as that. Once you are done with the RP you have to wait for a Staff member to acknowledge your completion of the job. Once the staff member does, then you may apply for a new job. When in parties, the party leader may apply for a job that involves the entire party. IMPORTANT: During Jobs, the players may control the NCPs, or get a Staff member to control them.

~Kingdom Hearts R E V I V A L~ Role-play Rules
FIGHTING Fighting is very important in this RP. Sure Kingdom Hearts has its nice and slow moments, but it's in the fighting where it all gets exciting! So, players will need to learn how to fight because you will end up fighting eventually. Fighting works in posts. Whoever starts the battle will have the first strike. Once the first battle post starts, there is a mechanic that kicks in. This is how the mechanic works: A Offenseive Action (first strike) B Defensive Action; B Offensive Action A Defensive Action; A Offensive Action This pattern goes on throughout the battle until a winner is declared. Defensive Actions are anything that counter the opponent's Offensive Action, as long as the counter is not an Offensive Action in itself. An Offensive Action is anything that deals with attacking another player. Between the actions, anything may happen in between, such as talking, using an item etc. Players do not have to defend or attack in their posts, they can just do one, or none. Once an Offensive Action is taken your post ends and the person who is receiving the action posts next. However this pattern gets more complicated as more players are added to a fight. Keep in mind, the player who receives the Offensive Action in the last turn, posts next. With this method though, players may be left out of the fight, so make sure to involve other players too. During fights NCPs may be controlled by Staff or the players who are fighting. This depends on what fight it is. During travels, players may control NCPs themselves. But, during Plots and Events, Staff controls the enemies. IMPORTANT: When using techniques during fights, the duration of the technique starts from the time it was activated. So if the duration of one technique is three post, the first post of those three would be the one in which the technique has been activated. Also, when using a technique during a fight, post that technique under spoilers at the end of your post.

DEATH IMPORTANT: Your character may die in the RP. Now that you know this, I will explain to you how to prevent your character from dying. When opening an RP topic, you will want to add a few tags in the topic's title to inform people on what kind of RP is going to take place. These are the tags: [DE][DD][OT][CT] [DE] - Death Enabled. If you put this tag in your topic's name, any player participating in that topic has a chance to die. [DD] - Death Disabled. If you put this tag in your topic's name, any player participating in that topic cannot die. [OT] - Open Topic. If you put this tag in your topic's name, players may join your RP topic any time. [CT] - Closed Topic. If you put this tag in your topic's name, only players who have been invited in the RP topic may participate. If any of these tags are not specified in a topic's name then a few rules come into place. If the [DD] tag and the [DE] tag is missing, then the topic is assumed to be a [DD] until specified by the member who opened the topic. If the [OT] tag and the [CT] tag is missing then the topic is considered to be a [CT] until specified by the member who opened the topic. IMPORTANT: If the topic you are in is Death Enabled, it does not mean that someone must die in the topic! These tags mentioned above are to help the chances of a character to not die. However, if the topic is Death Enabled, then these are the ways that a character may die... Unintentional Death: This is when the player does not mean for his or her character to die, but they do anyways. This could happen because of mistakes that the player has made. Example: In the last post X is attacking Y with a sword. When Y posts, he does not mention the sword but completely goes off topic. Following simple logic, the sword is still swinging at Y, and Y did not pay attention to X's post. This leads to the death of Y's character. Intentional Death: This takes place when the player is in agreement to kill of his or her character. This is usually the most common death.
